We are experienced Vascular Surgeons who provide services to the population of Edinburgh and beyond in the NHS and local large and well established private hospitals in the Edinburgh area.
Varicose veins affect a large proportion of the population but can range from causing no problems (asymptomatic) to causing many problems (pain, swelling, aching, skin problems and occasionally bleeding).
At your initial consultation, we will undertake a discussion, examination and ultrasound scan to determine the best possible treatment for your varicose veins if treatment is the right thing to do.
In general the majority of cases we perform minimally invasive treatments but occasionally may recommend open surgery.
The minimal invasive treatments include radio frequency ablation, phlebectomies and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy. This can normally be done as a day case procedure.
